In addition to our sash window renovation and replacement window services, we are also able to supply a full range of sash window supplies including sash weights, sash cord, pulleys, locks and lifts, together with a DIY draught proofing kit.
DIY "Super-Glide" Draught Proof System
The DIY Sash window draught proofing kits we offer contain the same materials as used in our own renovation service. The kit contain all the parts needed to draught seal a wide variety of sash window sizes. However, to fit them effectively, will require a good knowledge of woodworking skills and an understanding of safe working practices. One kit is required for each window.

Materials included: 10 x PZ1 10mm screws, 20 x 40mm pins, 10m sash cord
Option 1: 2.1m high x 1.2m wide
Option 2: 2.5m high x 1.5m wide
All timber is softwood primed Koto with white pile and carrier; sash cord supplied. Other sized beads are available on request. Un-primed beads, with brown or white pile are also available on request. We can also supply any additional products required for renovation.
Tools & Materials required for fitting:
Protective clothing, dust mask, safety goggles
General Wood working tools, hammer, blunt chisel [25+m], pincers, paint scraper & brush, screw drivers, hand plane, craft knife, nail punch, mastic & gun, bathroom scales, plumb {a small piece of string with a small lead weight on one end.
Power tools: router with an 8 mm straight bit.
Useful but not essential: Power plane and Sander
Dust sheets, sandpaper, acrylic primer- quick drying, exterior grade decorator's caulk 2 part epoxy filler, 25mm carpet tacks, 40mm panel pins.
